“Airgun Roadtrip / More Round Table” 2013 Episode 10

Airgun expos happen around the country, but the Pacific Airgun Expo in Fresno California is one of the biggest. You can’t hit a target without a projectile – Rossi, Tom, Jim, and Rick talk pellets at the Round Table and we’ll learn about a new gun from Umarex, the incredibly quiet Fusion. It’s not all hugs and kisses in the challenge of Xs and Os. Will it be Amanda or Bob that runs out of air this week?
This week Rossi Morreale talks with Tim Smith of Airgun Hobbyist magazine about his custom-airguns and then takes a Sam Yang out to looks for frogs with Steve Criner who opted for a .22 caliber Umarex Octane. A couple of guys from Elite Force Airsoft join Rossi to talk about airsoft guns and four shooters step right up to the first ever American Airgunner carnival shoot. Our competitors will be using three different airguns to shoot a variety of targets.

This week, host, Rossi Morreale takes us to Arnsberg Germany for an inside look at the world wide headquarters of Umarex. He has a little fun with a “fly shooter” and this week’s Round Table is centered around airgun hunting. Steve Criner gives us a hunting tip and in the Airgunner Challenge, three shooters shoot for the tightest 5-shot group using a Hammerli CR20 in a state-of-the-art indoor range at Umarex USA.
In episode 7 Steve Criner employs a pre-charged pneumatic pellet rifle that easily puts a mess of feathers in the bag and Jim Chapman gives us an overview of one of the airguns from his gun cabinet. “This Old Airgun” is brought to you by Tom Gaylord and in the Airgunner Challenge, Loco and Amanda sit side-by-side at a shooting bench for a friendly competition with our custom spinning target.

In this episode, 2013 host Rossie Morreale meets up with Mike Seeklander of Shooting Performance at the U.S. Shooting Academy for some firearm handling drills using a S&W M&P40 BB pistol, then at the round table with Rossi, Tom Gaylord, Rick Eutsler, and Jim Chapman is a discussion centered around CO2 technology in airguns. In the Airgunner Challenge, Loco, Amanda, Bob, and Sparky race to shred a target in half with a gun called the Umarex EBOS, an “Electronic Burst Of Steel”.

Episode 5 of American Airgunner gives us the rundown on how a 10 meter collegiate air rifle match is run and Rossie Morreale, armed with a Walther LG400, shoots against Catherine Green in a friendly match at TCU’s range. At the round table, Tom Gaylord, Jim Chapman, and Rick Eutsler talk CO2 technology. In the Challenge, Sparky and Sarge belly up to the Airgunner Saloon.

This episode has Steve Criner in Southern Arkansas up close and personal with a big hog and a Dragon Claw .50 caliber air rifle. Then, show host, Rossi Morreale checks out the new Ruger Yukon marketed by Umarex USA. Rick Eutsler from AirgunWeb.com gives us an overview and Rossi gets to pull the trigger on this new gas piston rifle. The Airgunner Challenge rounds out the episode with Bob, Sparky, Loco, Amanda, and Sarge shooting a .25 caliber at some explosives. It’s a race in time and accuracy and two of them will have to shoot against each other next week to see who will get to continue to shoot for a chance at a $5000 cash prize from Umarex USA.
