My wife has a Taurus P709 Slim she carries concealed. I think the use of air pistols would make for great low cost training that would translate into firearms very easily. We could train in our backyard and save some money. Could you point me in the right direction as to what would best mimic the firearm counterpart?
The Walther CP99 compact is another CO2 powered BB repeater with realistic blow-back action that may be a good practice gun as an alternative to something like a Taurus P709. This adult sized replica has a composite grip and metal slide, and gives an impressive recoil kick. The Weaver style rail forward of the trigger guard allows you to add realistic accessories such as lasers and flashlights…very cool in my opinion. Another is the Beretta Px4 Storm, which has a powerful recoil action (#1 in our recoil force testing) and a realistic weight and feel. The Px4 storm will shoot either BB’s or pellets.
