2013 American Airgunner Contestant—Amanda Smith
I am a 27 year old wife and mother from Arkansas. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and a degree in Special Education. I currently work as a Developmental Therapist and specialize in working with children ages birth to 3 with developmental delays. In my free time you will most likely find me outdoors, whether it be at thelake, shooting guns, fishing, or just yard work. I am married to my best friend and the love of my life. We have 4 children
within our blended family. I love our little (big) family. They are all absolutely wonderful! And we look forward to teaching all of our kids how to shoot and practice gun safety!
Shooting guns was always a fun past time, my dad taught me how to shoot as a small child. As a young adult I spent time shooting skeet in the pastures, reloading ammunition, and shooting any gun I could get my hands on. Prior to the American Airgunner challenge I had never shot competitively or acquired any specialized training. Airguns were not something I was familiar with until this experience. Being a part of this competition was educational and loads of fun! I had no idea when I signed up for this competition I would be selected, much less the fun I would have competing! I met so many wonderful people; cast, crew, and competitors—everyone who worked to put this competition together was absolutely amazing!
