On this episode of American Airgunner TV, Whitetail season has just opened up and it’s legal in Arkansas to hunt with Airguns! Rossi capitalizes on this opportunity and he and his family head out to be the first to take a deer with an Airgun! He came to hunt, but ends up sitting on the sidelines while his nephews have all the fun!

UK Field Target and Hunter Field Target Competitions
This week on American Airgunner, Rossi Morreale is in the United Kingdom which is the birthplace of Field Target competitions. The crew is in Bisley, England at the Bisley Field Target Organisation which is also one of the biggest clubs in the country. Field Target and Hunter Field Target were the 2 types of competitions that Rossi was able to participate in and observe with the help of competitors from both fields. Rossi was able to spend time learning about Field Target competitions from competitors Justin Wood (PCP Shooter) and Steve Privett (Spring Shooter), both are championship level shooters. Rossi finishes out the episode trying his hand at Hunter Field Target competitions with help from competitors Angus Williams (HFT PCP Shooter) and Gary Chillingsworth (HFT Springer Shooter). In this episode of American Airgunner, Rossi Morreale is visiting with some of his favorite brands at the 2019 Shot Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rossi begins the episode by visiting with Brocock checking out the all-new Commander Cerakote edition airgun. This airgun comes with all the bells and whistles but can also be customized to your liking. Next up, we visit with Predator International to learn what they’ve been up to in the world of pellets. Richard Dixon of Pellet International informs us of a resurgence in the .20 caliber airgun and their development of a 15 grain .20 caliber pellet. Scott Billingsley of Hawke Optics breaks down some changes to the Airmax and Frontier line of scopes. Rossi then visits with Scott Stevens and the Air Venturi booth where they discuss the new XDM and M1 carbine airguns that came out this spring. Also, breaking news for Seneca, they came out with a .25 caliber in the Aspen model. One of the biggest companies in airguns is Velocity Outdoors. Phillip Guadalupe of Velocity Outdoors speaks with Rossi about the Benjamin Mag-Fire model of airguns and the new models they came out with this year in that line of airguns. The Mag-Fire Mission, Mag-Fire Ultra, Mag-Fire Nomad are all new offerings in the Mag-Fire line. Rossi wraps up the show by talking with Stephanie Kee of Sig Sauer to discuss all of their new offerings in the airsoft and airgun world. On the latest installment of Rossi’s Reviews, Rossi is sending pellets down range with 0.25” caliber Umarex Gauntlet PCP Air Rifle. To start the review Rossi fires 24 shots at 100 yards while monitoring the fps for all 24 shots. The shots measured from 922 fps to 866 fps at the end of the group. Much to our surprise, the Gauntlet shot faster than advertised, it’s advertised at 895 fps. PCP airgunners long for affordable guns that are consistent as well as powerful, and Umarex has answered the call!
The Gauntlet PCP repeater that balances tremendous shot strings, with incredible power and accuracy all for a competitive price. With the onboard regulator, the Gauntlet uses less air; improving accuracy, and the amount of shots per charge on its 3000 psi tank. Once the pressure is low, you can either refill the tank using the standard Foster quick connect fitting or simply unscrew the tank with the included pressure release key to switch out your tank. As long as the pressure gauge is in the green, your shots will stay consistent. Umarex tested both .177 (7.9 grain) and .22 (14.3 grain) lead pellets, achieving 60(.22) or 70 (.177) shots on a single fill! With a velocity of 1000 fps in .177 and 900 fps in .22, the Gauntlet has no problem sending lead downrange in a hurry.
Each caliber features a single shot tray and a 10 round rotating magazine so you can spend less time reloading and more time taking rapid-fire bolt-action shots. The fully-moderated barrel quiets your shots, making it a perfect platform for blasting away at backyard targets or eliminating pests.
